Program details

Many individuals with a disability face real challenges when it comes to being physically active, from physical and environmental barriers to uncertainty about where to start. As a result, people with disabilities are often less physically active, which can lead to poorer health outcomes over time.

Participation in regular physical activity can:

  • improve independence
  • positively impact mental health
  • enhance cognitive function
  • improve sensory processing
  • increase attention and focus
  • increase social contact and facilitatesocial/community re-entry.

Sessions are delivered by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist in a welcoming, supportive group environment while having direct supervision should you need it.

Program development includes the design and tailoring of individual exercise plans and progression tracking.
