Research impact

This Fellowship aimed to engage members of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Queensland and the Torres Strait Islands in the history-making process to reveal untold stories about their sporting past.

The guidelines are designed to encourage women to begin or continue PA/exercise during pregnancy and postpartum, and to provide evidence-based guidance and information about risks and contraindications for health professionals.

This projec, which involved a current HMNS staff member, has implemented and evaluated a dietetic model of care based on the American Nutrition Practice Guidelines schedule of visits, adapted to an Australian setting, using an implementation science approach.

This body of work, which involved a current HMNS staff member, applied implementation science methodologies in iterative improvement cycles across the Mater Mothers’ Hospitals (Brisbane) to design effective interventions to facilitate the delivery of best-practice care for wight management in antenatal care.

The UQ team developed and validated a next-generation proximity detection device for surface mine vehicles

In partnership with the CSIRO, Queensland Health and the Department of Health and Aging, a UQ team analysed current training practices to identify areas of potential innovation and improvement.
