Systematised Interdisciplinary Malnutrition Program for impLementation and Evaluation (SIMPLE)
The dietetic assistant workforce varies across settings and it is difficult to define individual responsibilities, tasks and workflow. The variance of scope for assistant staff could be influenced by a broad variety of other factors that remain unclear. Opportunities to broaden scope for assistant staff in dietetics could be found in the mandated shift to values-based healthcare. Exploring these factors and opportunities could provide further understanding of the distinctions in the assistant workforce, why they occur and what responsibilities could be included as a delegated model of care to assistant staff.
