Australian Sports Commission

Researchers: Prof Cliff Mallett, A/Prof Steven Rynne  and Dr Rosanna Stanimirovic

Funding Body: Australian Sports Commission

Years: 2021-2024

The key objectives of the project are to:

  • Enhance coaching knowledge, understanding and application in practice such that (a) athletes are supported in performing with pressure in competition; and (b) coaches can role model performing with pressure in competition.
  • Create three modes of delivery (i.e., self-directed online, facilitated online, intensive in vivo) so the AIS can foster coach development and subsequent athlete performance outcomes in major sporting competitions.
  • Research the effectiveness of and potential differential contributions of the three modes of delivery (i.e., self-directed online, facilitated online, intensive in vivo).
