A lack of supportive food environments is a contributing factor to the development of overweight and obesity. This has led to an increased focus on the development and implementation of prevention strategies, including the Queensland governments Healthier Food at Healthcare Facilities strategy. The aim of this project is to understand in more detail the impact of this strategy, including employee and visitor perceptions and experiences, and the change in food sales.

Funding body: This project is being conducted by a collaboration of researchers from The University of Queensland and clinicians from the Queensland Children’s Hospital, Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Services.
