An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is a recognized allied health professional who designs and delivers exercise for the prevention and management of chronic health problems such as musculoskeletal issues, diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease and depression.
AEP’s are the fastest growing allied health professionals in Australia. Medicare and many private health insurers now recognise and cover exercise services supplied by AEP’s for those with chronic conditions or complex care needs. This has increased the career opportunities for those with an AEP recognised qualification.
