
Researcher Biography
James graduated from a Bachelor of Health, Sport and Physical Education with first-class honours at the University of Queensland in 2018. During his undergraduate degree James took part in various research opportunities including UQ’s Summer and Winter research programs and the Tsukuba Summer Institute in Japan. In this time James worked on projects pertaining to school physical activity policies and their relationship to school practices and student behaviours. Following graduation James worked in secondary schools teaching Health and Physical Education, Science and Mathematics before returning to UQ as a PhD candidate. His current research focuses on the outcomes and feasibility of before-school physical activity programs.
