Please join us for a HMNS Seminar with two talks on  physical activity for mental health issues and autism and adolescent health. 

  • Group-based exercise to improve sense of belonging and quality of life in people with mental health issues will be presented by Dr Justin Chapman who is a Research fellow at Griffith University and Metro Addictions and Mental Health Service. Dr Chapman will present the foundational work that has led to a successful grant from the MRFF.
  • Does sport participation mediate the association between autism and adolescent health? by Dr Martin O’Flaherty. Dr Martin O’Flaherty is a Research Fellow working on the HERA 360-Kids Community project, within HMNS. Dr O’Flaherty’s current research focusses on inequalities in NDIS participation and preventable health disparities experienced by children with disabilities.
