2024 HMNS Postgraduate Student Conference: Creativity and Joy
The annual postgraduate student conference has a rich history in providing up and coming researchers with an opportunity to present their current findings.
We welcome all students from all universities enrolled in postgraduate studies in the field of human movements and nutrition sciences to attend and collaborate with fellow researchers in your respective discipline.
In cultivating creativity and joy in our work, we must learn to let go of scarcity and comparison (Brené Brown, 2010). Sometimes this can be a hard feat in the academy, as we are plagued with comparing our work, worth and selves to the extraordinary accomplishments of those around us. Let this postgraduate conference be an invitation and celebration for you to reflect on what brings you gratitude and joy in your work.
We look forward to seeing you all at the 2024 UQ HMNS Postgraduate Conference: Creativity and Joy!
Conference details
Organised annually by the Postgraduate Student Committee, the conference aims to promote greater relationships, integration and collaboration between the diverse disciplines within the field of human movement studies and nutrition sciences.
This conference strives to provide postgraduate students in the field of human movement studies and nutrition sciences with a high-quality conference in which students are afforded the opportunity to practice presenting in front of a large, supportive and interdisciplinary community, which gives constructive feedback. This conference therefore provides an invaluable opportunity for all postgraduate students to practice and extend their presentation skills (regardless of their progress within their research), while fostering and forming friendships with postgraduate students from The University of Queensland and other universities within Australia.
