Dr Stephen Townsend from UQ's School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences spoke to ABC Radio's AM Program about the Brisbane 2032 Olympics.
Dr Townsend discusses how organisers will have bigger issues on their minds than potentially cleaning the Brisbane River for swimming, following Paris.
“How are we are going to ensure that Brisbane 2032 leaves a lasting and positive legacy, not just for the athletes, not just for the IOC or the AOC but for everyone in the region and for the broader pacific region as well,” Dr Townsend said.
