Researcher Biography

Chris is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist by background, completing his Bachelors and Masters at Queensland University of Technology. His Master of Philosophy degreed focussed on sex-based differences in thermoregulation across repeat bouts of work in the heat, and the project was sponsored by the Australian Defence Science & Technology Group. Chris has since begun a PhD at the University of Queensland, and his project is associated with the Congenital Heart Fitness Intervention Trial (CH-FIT); a multicentre randomised controlled trial investigating optimal exercise prescription and delivery in congenital heart disease. Chris’ PhD will involve the body composition data from the CH-FIT program. Chris has presented his research overseas in international conferences and won awards at the QUT 3MT competition and for best HDR Research Poster.
