Researcher biography

Dr Mark Connick is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences, The University of Queensland. His research is funded by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and is a member of the IPC Classification Research and Development Centre.

Mark's primary research involves the development and evaluation of evidence-based classification systems in Para sport and he has obtained over $1million of industry funding since 2014.

This research has included: 1) the development of impairment tests that are valid for classification, 2) understanding of the effect of impairment on sprinting and wheelchair racing performance and 3) the identification of statistical methods for classification
