Researcher biography
Stephanie completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. After, she worked as a clinical researcher in pediatric cardiology with a focus on physical activity levels in this population. This led to an interest in health promotion, which steered her to a Master of Public Health specializing in biostatistics and epidemiology that she completed in England and France. From there, she worked at the National Institute of Sport in Paris, France focusing on physical activity interventions for patients with a chronic disease. Stephanie wishes to encourage physical activity in all populations and strives to ensure that it is accessible to all. Her current project funded through the University of Queensland and the University of Exeter will focus on enhancing physical activity levels in school-aged children and assessing the feasibility and benefits of various interventions. She has previously presented at both national and international conferences.
