Researcher biography

Jennifer completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Science cementing her interest in exercises science and physiology. Whilst completing a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology she began work in the Para START (Sports Training and Research Team) as a research assistant. Upon finishing her Masters she started a PhD and moved into managing the Para START program. Her research interest is in Athlete Monitoring (Training load and Well being). The challenge of monitoring load effectively in the water coupled with continued improvements in technology lends itself to conditions that allow for the development of more effective methods to monitor swimmers. Her PhD involves working with able bodied swimmers, para swimmers and elite Para swim coaches to develop effective methods to monitor athletes with high support needs cerebral palsy.
