Blue Card requirements

The Blue Card Check (or Working with Children Check) involves a national check of an individual's criminal history, including any charges or convictions to ascertain suitability to work in child-related employment (Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000). Eligible individuals are then issued a positive notice letter and a blue card. Failing to have a current card on your person while working with children is a finable offence.

Visit the Queensland Government Blue Card site to check your obligations and rights.
